About Us

"The body heals with play, the mind heals with laughter, and the spirit heals with joy." ~Proverb

Our Mission
We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of time spent with your loved ones in need through the principles of Recreational Therapy.

Our approach begins with assessing your loved one’s unique needs and interests. We will establish achievable goals and design purposeful therapeutic programs tailored to them. Together, we will engage in meaningful activities within the comfort of their home and community. Progress will be regularly evaluated, and we will keep you—the family and caregivers—informed with updates.

We offer a wide range of fun and purposeful activities that your loved ones will enjoy, all designed to promote their well-being and enrich their lives.

Our team is fully certified and insured, ensuring the highest quality and safety in the care we provide. To maintain consistency and reliability, we will visit your loved one each week at a set time. You can trust that we are dependable, passionate, and committed to delivering exceptional care.

We also understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly. That’s why we offer flexibility with no long-term commitments required.

We are excited to embark on this journey with you and your loved ones. Let us help make a meaningful difference in their lives!

Our Story

Michelle and Genalin met while doing their internship at Stony Brook Hospital as Therapeutic Recreational Specialist working with children and adult psych. There they formed a strong  connection and long lasting friendship. Both sharing the same value and heart of wanting to help others in need using therapeutic value through recreation.

Michelle Cheslak

Hi everyone, my name is Michelle. I graduated from St. Joseph University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and received my Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management.I have been a Recreation Therapist for 20 years specializing in Long Term Care with the Geriatric/Dementia/Alzheimer population.

I believe that social interactions, cognitive stimulation, and utilizing Therapeutic Recreation in a home environment can benefit our aging population. I believe in meeting an individual at their current stage of life and empowering them to find happiness and fulfillment through therapeutic activities. One may receive Physical Therapy and/or Occupational Therapies at home, but stimulating the mind, body, and spirit can bring many different benefits.

Through Recreation Therapy, we can provide extra support for your loved ones  with rewarding benefits. I have a wealth of experience working with older adults and building supportive partnership.
